For more than 40 years, BPACF has supported, celebrated and saluted outstanding Black Professionals in our community. We are pleased to announce that the 2022 Black Professional of the Year is Renee Tramble Richard, Esq.
Ms. Tramble Richard is Vice President Legal Services and Risk Management (General Counsel) at Cuyahoga Community College. She and her team handle all in-house legal issues for the College. She joined the College after 20+ years of practicing law in several Cleveland corporate law firms, with her practice focused on public law and finance
Renee currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Care Alliance Health Center and is a member of the Board of Directors of AES Management, the YWCA of Greater Cleveland and Lee Road Baptist Church. She is a member of, and has been active in, the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Ms. Richard is President of The Links, Incorporated, Cleveland Chapter and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Alpha Omega Chapter. She has also served as a member of the Executive Committee and Finance Committee of the NAACP, Cleveland Branch. Ms. Richard is an alumna of Cleveland Marshall College of Law, and has received numerous awards including the 2022 YWCA Women of Achievement, 2021 Smart Business Professional Women Award, the Crain’s 2021 Notable General Counsels Award and the 2021 YWCA Women of Professional Experience Award.
Renee is a woman of faith, and is committed to family, philanthropy and the future of up and coming Black Professionals. She is a civic champion, who gives of her time, talent and treasure to everyone around her. Renee has been married to Derrick Richard for over 30 years and is the mother of Kelli Richard Davis, Evan Richard and Toshianna Richard.
