BPACF began a board managed, strategic planning process in March of 2018. The total process was completed in nine months and included two strategic planning retreats held in June and September of 2018.
The plan sets forth the goals and principles that will guide the BPACF Board of Trustees, volunteers and staff over the next several years. It outlines a strategic approach to ensure recognition of BPACF and its programs are synonymous with excellence in professional and career development. This strategic plan was developed using input and guidance from the BPACF community including volunteers, staff, funders, honorees, event participants and the Board of Trustees. The process included the revision of BPACF’s mission, vision, and value statements and the development of strategic priorities designed to align with the organization’s legacy of raising awareness and supporting the development of future Black leaders in our community.
In a world characterized by risk and uncertainty, as well as significant opportunity, it is important that BPACF help define and enable the skills needed by professionals to succeed in the 21st century. With this plan, BPACF will be well-positioned to create and deliver the kind of programming that develops these needed skills in our professional community. This strategic plan is our driving force and focus for the next four years.
